How We Got Started

Check out this great video about For the Luv of Paws (FLP).  It gives a history of how the rescue/sanctuary got started and what is involved in making it a continuing success.  It features some of our adoptable animals and volunteers.

FUNDRAISER FOR MICHI’S MEDICAL CARE & SURGERY - $4,500.00 NEEDED

For the Luv of Paws needs your help. We have been caring for a kitten, Michi, while he awaits his forever home. Michi is an11-month old domestic, medium hair, neutered male feline. DOB: 9/23/2024.

Michi has had a history of failure to thrive, small appetite, lethargy, and excessive drooling. Bloodwork indicated signs of his blood bypassing his liver and Michi was put on medical management until surgical correction. Surgery was performed for a Portosystemic shunt attenuation and bladder stone removal.

He should do very well after his recovery and should not need any long-term care. We hope a loving person/family will be able to adopt him in the coming few months.

Please consider donating to his medical care/surgery bill. For the Luv of Paws is volunteer-run and exists only because of donations by the public. We do not receive any type of government funding. If you do not want to donate through the website, you may write a check and mail to: For the Luv of Paws, 8115 W Oatman Highway, Golden Valley, AZ 86413. THANK YOU!

CAT FOOD & TREATS NEEDED!!

Please consider donating dry cat food, or treats.  We take any U.S. brand dry cat food since we always mix the various brands together.  That way none of the cats develop an intolerance to a 'different' brand.  You can drop off any size bag at our thrift shop or have it sent to us directly from Chewy, Amazon, Walmart, Petco and others.   Our address is on our 'contact'/ 'thrift store' pages.

But Still Want To Help?

Consider a Virtual Adoption!
Since we are a no-kill sanctuary, we care for many animals that for a multitude of reasons are unable to be adopted to a home.
All animals receive love, exercise, medical care, shelter & food until the end of their natural lives.  YOU can help with the expenses in caring for these sweet dogs and cats.
Click on the box below to go to our 'sanctuary animals' page to virtually adopt today!

Help is Needed!

We REALLY need some reliable volunteers.  A few to work out at our sanctuary, or at Kingman Petco once a week for 2 hours to feed the cats.

The dogs and cats will love you for it and you will be doing something for the animals and your community.

Go to our 'Volunteer' page or click the link below to see the opportunities available and download, print out and mail in your application today.
